Small WASH systems maintenance technician certification The course is designed for any individual with basic literacy, numeracy and a technical background. No previous skills or experience is needed. Participants can complete all courses for a certificate or just one short course as time allows. Subscription to the whole course assures access to a lending library of tools, which are loaned for free on deposit during course registration.

Kifli County, Kenya
Rains has failed, drought causes extreme hardship. Cases of malnutrition have escalated in the drought-stricken Bamba division in Kilifi County owing to the prolonged drought that has hit the region depriving residents of food and water. With 90 per cent of households in Bamba living below poverty line, erratic food security has contributed to the deteriorating trend of malnutrition that has mostly affected children under five years, elderly persons, pregnant and lactating mothers.
Vihigia County, Kenya
This project location was Kidundu Secondary School, a local Kenyan High School located in Central of Vihiga County . Residents living there are surrounded by a low socioeconomic status, with little to no access to financial, social, educational and health resources. The main economic stay of Vihiga County is subsistence crop farming and livestock farming.

Vihigia County, Kenya
It is difficult to retain long term bulk customers for vegetables, because during dry spells they cannot effectively irrigate drops. It is cumbersome and time consuming to bring water from the river and there a shortage water storage tanks for those dry periods.
Bauchi State, Nigeria
WIR supports the right to sanitation in the Nigerian state of Bauchi (7.3m populationin close cooperation with the state government. One of the major challenges facing the state government is open defecation, which poses a major health risk to water sources.Â
